I am Heidi Byrne

Meeting new people and making connections is why I first became a recruiter finding candidates for top global companies. Along the way I found a passion for helping people spark the next phase of their careers. 

 My recruiting journey began on the agency side in Frankfurt, Germany where I used my love of other cultures, languages, and travel in my work. I speak French and German and spent three years recruiting multilingual assistants and HR professionals for the financial services industry. With the same company, I managed a team recruiting for banks, asset managers, and financial data companies in London. I shifted to in-house recruiting when my client, AllianceBernstein, asked me to join their company.
Next, I moved to New York with my husband. It was 2009 and not the best time for a recruiter to be on the market. But through a connection (an example of the power of networking), I met someone at Bloomberg and have recruited talent for the company for the past 14 years in many roles including Global Head of Direct Sourcing and Global Head of Recruiting for Corporate Functions. 
My focus now is using my in-depth knowledge of a hiring process to help professionals navigate their job search.
